We’re so glad you found us, the question is who are we, why should you care? I think we’re much like you we are life long dog lovers. We think all pets are amazing but we think dogs are the cream of the crop. A few years ago as a family we decided we really wanted to get a new dog. I have been the proud best friend of a number of dogs over the years. We did what we always have done, checked in with local shelters to see if we could find someone that would fit our family.
We got there are saw a number of four legged friends that we wanted to learn more about. We went for a walk and talked about it and narrowed it down to two we just met that seemed to develop a connection among us. When we returned one of the two, a Black Lab and ????? cross was in the process of being adopted. Oddly enough we all felt let down. We decided to take a break on the process head home and think on things a bit more.
Once home we realized that we had in our own minds hoped to get the Black Lab cross. We headed back with an open mind and lo and behold our Black Lab cross was back, what the heck was going on?
A chat with the adoption manager provided us with the full(er) story. Seems this really rambunctious full of life fella has been adopted out three times and each time he was returned the next day. Many people would have heard that story and run the other way as fast as they can.

Or in this case a better no pull dog harness. There are a lots of dog harnesses out there. Some are better than others, it goes without saying. As you can see by the pics of our Gus he’s a handful, sitting still you can just see it’s the last thing he wants to do.
This played a huge part in us ending up opening this store and creating the PuppyPawDrobe line of products. Almost all of them were lacking in one way or another. We just took it step by step and shored up every aspect of the harness until we really felt it was the best possible product on the market.
Once we had the “finished” product and we let Gus have it for a few weeks we realized that there is no possible way we were the only dog owners to have the same problems.
This caused us to start down the e-commerce road, found an amazing course by a guy name Steve Chou. He is as honest as the day is long and his course was worth it’s weight in gold. We learned how to find suppliers, how to import products, basically from start to finish how to get our “GusProof” harness in the hands or on the backs of all the other Gus like family friends out there.
